New Delhi : The Delhi Government is planning to set up an online network by linking all the universities and other premier institutions in the city to facilitate optimum use of resources through sharing of expertise and other learning materials.
The project which will connect institutions such as the IIT, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Delhi University, would help these centres to share their experiences, a senior official in the education department said.
“The network will be set up across the institutes to have access to library, journals and other learning materials,” he said.
The network is envisaged following recommendations of the National Knowledge Commission (NKC) which was set up by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in 2005 to prepare a roadmap for transforming India into a knowledge society.
