Kozhikode: Thousands of Malayali Muslims assembled in the ifthar party organized by the Jamat-e Islami Malayali chapter in the Bangalore city. The party was held at the Shadab Shahi Mahal in the Thanari Road.
Muhammed Sa’ad Belgaumi, Bangalore Urban District President of the Jamat-e Islami, inaugurated the meet. NM Abdurahman, secretary of JIH Kerala, presided over the function. MI Abdul Azeez, JIH Kerala Assistant Amir, spoke on the topic ‘Family, modernity, Islam’. Saleem Mampad, state official of the Solidairty Youth Movement, spoke on the topic ‘Qur’an and Life’ after the breaking of fast.
An exhibition named ‘Koodaram’ was also arranged outside the venue for children. The party which began in the afternoon dispersed only after tharaveeh namaz.
