Patna: Ex-chief minister of Bihar Dr. Jagannath Mishra demanded the central government to rebuild Babri Masjid at its original place to protect communal harmony and secularism.
“It will be in the favor of secular India to rebuild the Babri Masjid at its site and the government should gather courage to punish the guilty identified by Justice Liberhan for the demolition and to ban groups and political parties involved in that ugly act, so that no group can repeat this in future by the virtue of their majority or strength,” said Mishra.
“If the guilty would be let free and not be punished, people of any religion may gather in large number where they are in majority and demolish religious place of other religion. Therefore, it is necessary to punish communal forces to eliminate chances of any incident like Babri demolition which defamed the country all over the world,” he further said.
“According to Article 138 of Indian constitution, Parliament has right to empower Supreme Court to take cases pending in district courts in its hand and solve them within 6 months. Therefore, we demand the government that Parliament should use this power to solve the cases about Babri Masjid” said Dr. Mishra.
He also said that country’s benefit is above all. So, government should act in this matter without caring for the political gains and losses, otherwise the country will see the dangerous consequence which will harm people of all classes.
