Delhi cabinet sanctioned an amount of Rs. 10.17 crore for construction of six bungalows – four at Raj Niwas Marg and two Attaur Rehman Lane.

Announcing the decision, Walia said: “The ministers have been finding it difficult to function from their existing residence offices which are either situated in their private houses or in old type accommodation provided by the government.”

“They also face difficulty during public dealing hours in the morning when persons in a large number from their constituency and other places gather in connection with their reasonable grievances,” he said.

The bungalows will be constructed within 15 months from the date of award of work, he added.
