Some of the most vibrant and crucial issues are likely to come up for discussion during the three day meet. The issue of taking interest based loan from the bank for higher education will also come under discussion. It will be analyzed from various angles since interest is absolutely Haram (Prohibited) under the Islamic Shariah but on the other hand acquiring knowledge is one the most important duty enshrined in the Islamic Law. Without education it is impossible to gain any respectable job and lead a dignified life hence the individual is a total waste for the nation.

The other issue to be hotly debated is the treatment of Prisoners. Islam does favour the punishment for any crime but at the same time ensures that no injury is inflicted upon the prisoners. It emphasizes for respecting the Human Rights and ethical values while treating the prisoners.

The Seminar will also discuss the issue of women employment from the Islamic point of view. It is expected that a guideline regarding the ethics for professional women will be released. The issue of plastic surgery will also be discussed. Under the Islamic Shariah corrective surgery is permitted. However, plastic surgery for the purpose of mere beatification is strictly forbidden. The Seminar is likely to dwell in the conditions in which it can be allowed.

First Fiqhi seminar was organized in New Delhi in April 1989 and discussed organ transplant and birth control. It was attended by Syed Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi and Maulana Minnatullah Rahmani, among others.
