Bhubhaneshwar : A bride and nine other people were killed when a train rammed an SUV at an unmanned level crossing near Bargarh town in Orissa Sunday, officials said. Two people were injured.
A Mahindra Bolero vehicle passing an unmanned level crossing near Bargarh town was hit by the Bolangir-Bhubhaneshwar Intercity Express coming from Bolangir around 4 p.m., East Coast Railway’s chief public relations officer J.P. Mishra said.
According to the police, the passengers in the Bolero were members of a marriage party and the bride was among those killed.
Bargarh deputy superintendent of police T.P Patra said at least ten bodies were recovered from the accident site. The two injured people were rushed to the district hospital.
