Quake of moderate intensity jolts Pakistan

Islamabad : An earthquake of moderate intensity earlyy Sunday jolted several parts of Pakistan, creating panic and wounding at least three people.

According to the Metrological Department, the quake had magnitude of 5.9 on Richter scale and epicenter in the remote Hindu Kush mountain range.

The quake was felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar, tribal areas, Kashmir, and several northern belt districts.

According to Associate Press of Pakistan (APP), at least three people were wounded in quake-related incidents and admitted to a local hospital in Peshawar.

There were no immediate reports of casualties from the other parts of the country.
