New Delhi : India’s Defence Minister A.K. Antony once again warned Islamabad on Wednesday that India was still keeping all possible options against Pakistan open if it did not crackdown on the terror infrastructure on its soil.
He said that Pakistan should dismantle the terror infrastructure operating from its soil. Antony said this while speaking to reporters in New Delhi after inaugurating a defence ministry function.
The Indian defence minister also expressed worry on the fact that terror infiltrated from across the Pakistan border only during winters. “Militancy and infiltration from across the Pakistan border has always taken place at the height of winter season. Pakistan should dismantle terror infrastructure from its soil. We are still looking at all possible available options if Pakistan does not crackdown on terror.” The minister, however, refused to point out what options the Indian government was keeping open against Pakistan.
“Don’t expect me to talk about what options are available against Pakistan, ” he said in reply to a question from a journalist.
After a lull for almost a week, tension once against built up between India and Pakistan Tuesday after Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh directly blamed Pakistani agencies for being behind the 26/11 attacks.
Pakistan reacted strongly to the Indian premier’s statement, saying that the evidence furnished by India was “no proof.” Pakistani Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir said, “Mere information and not credible evidence had been provided by India to Pakistan on the Mumbai terror attacks.”
