The sensational murder was reported from village Tilda of Raipur district, some 110 km from here. The body was found Friday night.

Hemlal Nishad, a Class 3 student, was missing since Jan 6. His head was found tonsured and his left palm was chopped off. That convinced his father Suklal Nishad that “someone has sacrificed my son in a temple and then dumped the body near a bank of the river”.

The Chhattisgarh police has begun probing the murder.

“We are looking at every aspect of the case. I am waiting for a post-mortem report,” Amit Kumar, district superintendent of police, Raipur, told IANS.
