Aviation fuel price raised by over three percent

New Delhi : After eight successive cuts in aviation turbine fuel (ATF) price since last September, state-run oil companies Thursday raised it by at least Rs.1,040 per kilolitre, a rise of 3.4 percent.

The new price will come into effect from midnight Thursday.

Aviation fuel will cost Rs.31,496.31 per kilolitre in Delhi, an increase of Rs.1,040.10, an Indian Oil Corp (IOC) official said.

In Mumbai, it will cost Rs.32,447.65 per kilolitre, an increase of Rs.1,068.87.

Oil companies had last cut the ATF price by Rs.2,234 Jan 1.

The ATF price touched Rs.71,028.26 per kilolitre in Delhi last August. However, with international oil prices falling since July, fuel prices started being slashed in September.
