“There was a workshop of the organisation Thursday during which Rahul Gandhi was also present. During the lunch break we all had gone to the restaurant. There was no one except media people and some documents of the organisation were taken by someone,” H.Y. Eden, all-India NSUI president, told IANS.

When asked if some of Gandhi’s notes were stolen, he said: “No, there were no personal papers of Rahul Gandhi. Some internal documents of the organisation had gone missing of which a complaint was lodged in the Parliament Street police station.”

An English daily had reported that Gandhi’s speech notes and some other papers had gone missing during the lunch break of a NSUI convention Thursday at the Constitution Club here.

Gandhi has been addressing a series of NSUI meetings and workshops as part of his plan to revive and rejuvenate the organisation and bring in a new breed of political workers from the educated and professional classes. Thursday’s session was devoted to leadership skills.
