Thousands of students from the Gaza Strip headed back to their schools today, a number of which were totally destroyed by the Israeli bombardments.

Thirty five out of 384 government schools, accommodating nearly 250,000 students, were destroyed, whereas four UNRWA schools were damaged in which 40 Palestinians were killed as a result of the Israeli atrocities.

The Ministry of Education and UNRWA schools have been advised to focus on psychological counseling with students particularly those who have lost members of their families.

UNRWA schools had opened their doors for thousands of Palestinians whose homes were bombarded by the Israeli military machine, however, the Israeli enemy still targeted a number of these schools.
