Tehran : Exhibition featuring innovation and prosperity will open here in Moslla (praying ground) Sunday in a ceremony to be attended by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Sunday is the second day of ‘Dahe-ye Fajr’ (Ten-Day Dawn) celebrations to mark the 30th victory anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
The exhibit seeks to highlight the Iranian year March 2008-2009 as the ‘Year of Innovation and Prosperity’ by displaying more than 3,000 inventions and innovative plans.
Identifying and introducing the best works and honoring researchers and inventors and paving the way for developing scientific and technological cooperation between scientific centers and are among the objectives of the event.
The event will also seek to explore ways for accelerating commercialization and putting into practice the findings of the researches and making the public acquainted with the scientific advances and inventions.
The festival will be organized in five sections of ‘innovation’, ‘prosperity’, ‘provincial innovation and prosperity festival’, ‘exhibition of Iranian inventions and innovations’ and ‘evaluating and verifying the inventions’.
At the end of the event, ten top inventions will be selected and awarded.
