As per the media reports, Arif Naseem Khan, state home minister (urban) and Nitin Raut, state home minister (rural), in a letter to Jayant Patil have said that both of them have received murder threats from the terrorists and the Naxalites.

‘I have been receiving threat calls from the terrorists and the Naxal organizations and I am afraid of my life,’ Arif Naseem Khan said in the letter, adding that he would continue rendering his duty and the fight of the secular government against the communals will continue.

Notably, Khan after being assigned the portfolio of home ministry had banned the inflammatory CD ‘Mandir Waheen Banaen Ge’ (We will build the {Ram} temple there {Ayodhya}) and had said that if the CD was played in any area, stern action will be taken against the senior inspector of the police station of the area.

He also had ordered an in-depth probe into the blasts taking place at different places of Maharashtra especially the one took place in Malegaon in 2008.
