Tehran : Some 429 journalists from 44 countries have voiced their willingness to cover Iran’s presidential elections slated for June 12.
Director General of the Foreign Media Office at the Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance said on Monday that so far some 265 media activists, journalists, photo journalists and so on have arrived in Iran.
Mohsen Moqaddas-Zadeh said countries including the UK, France, Japan, the US and Germany have the highest demands to dispatch their journalists to Iran to cover the presidential elections.
He concluded by saying that some of the most famous press, radio and TV channels and news agencies have demanded to dispatch their reporters to Iran including the Times, Sunday Telegraph, Guardian, Asahi, Yumiuri, pbc and Voice of America, Sky News, TBS, NBC, Kyodo and JJPress.
