Islamabad : The Pakistani government has decided to issue notices to arms dealers for information regarding sale of weapons to unauthorised people as part of a move to stop the illegal weapon sale in the country, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said.
The licenses of the dealers will be cancelled if they fail to act on the government directive, the Online news agency said Friday citing Malik.
The ministry has also decided to form a special committee to study the proposed amendments in the explosives act, the report said.
Malik urged the law enforcement agencies to monitor illegal arms sale and file cases against dealers, who are involved in selling arms to militants under the anti-terrorist act.
