New Delhi: The Indian Muslim Council-USA has demanded that the Liberhan Commission report on Babri Masjid demolition be immediately made public. Any delay will harm only Congress – the party which was in power when the mosque was demolished, the organization said.
“After 17 years and 8 crore Rupees spent, any delay or political manipulation in making the findings of this Commission public by UPA will only remind the public of the role of Congress government when it allowed the extremists mob lead by BJP leaders to demolish the historic Masjid,” said Rasheed Ahmed, National President of the The Indian Muslim Council-USA.
He warned that no action on the report will further weaken the confidence of people in the system.
“If the Liberhan Commission report becomes yet another report whose findings are not used to bring the perpetrators to justice, this itself will be injustice and yet another blow to the confidence of the people in the government.”
