Vote count starts in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu : Counting of votes cast for the Lok Sabha elections began amid heavy security in Jammu and Kashmir Saturday morning, poll officials said.

The counting began at 8 a.m. in seven centres across the state.

The staggered Lok Sabha polls were held in five phases between April 16 and May 13 in the state’s six constituencies – Jammu, Udhampur, Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla and Ladakh.
