New Delhi: India’s largest private carrier Jet Airways Monday announced a net profit of Rs.52.99 crore for the quarter ending March 31, as compared to a net loss of Rs.221 crore in the corresponding period in 2007-08.
The total income of the company, however, decreased to Rs.2,566 crore in the quarter under review, as compared to Rs.2,796 crore posted in the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory statement.
For the financial year 2008-09, Jet Airways posted a net loss of Rs.402.3 crore as compared to net loss of Rs.253.06 crore posted in the previous fiscal, though its total income increased to Rs.11,786 crore from Rs.9,550.96 crore.
The group posted a net consolidated loss of Rs.961.41 crore last financial year, as compared to Rs.653.8 crore in 2007-08.
Its total consolidated income, however, increased to Rs.13,448.8 crore from Rs.10,990.7 crore the previous financial year.
