India: Proton chairman Nadzmi admitted to Chennai Hospital

Chennai, India : Proton Holdings Bhd chairman Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh was admitted to the Apollo Hospital here Sunday after complaining of chest pains.

He had complained of the discomfort when checking in at a hotel here, and was rushed to the hospital.

Nadzmi, 55, had flown in here from Kuala Lumpur to join the trade and investment delegation led by International Trade and Industry Minister Mustapa Mohamed.

Mustapa visited Nadzmi at about 2.30pm (about 5pm in Malaysia) at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.

Nadzmi is also executive chairman of Nadicorp Holdings Sdn Bhd and president of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM).
