“The medicos remain on strike at both the hospitals where functioning has been crippled. We have no plans to withdraw the stir unless the state government fulfils its promise of enhancing the stipend from Rs 13000 to Rs 25000 per month,” Patna Medical college junior doctor’s association spokesman Naqi Imam said Monday.

“We are also unhappy with the state’s indifferent attitude to hold a meeting with us to find an amicable solution to the impasse,” he said.

Meanwhile, the state government was considering tough measures against the striking post-graduate students of Patna and Darbhanga medical colleges if they failed to resume duty soon.
