Patna : A man was burnt to death in a Bihar village for having an alleged extra-marital affair with a neighbour’s wife, police said Monday.
Dilip Ram, in his 30s, was burnt alive late Sunday at Sumera village in Muzaffarpur district, about 70 km from here.
“Ram’s neighbour allegedly caught Ram in a compromising position with his wife. This angered the neighbour so much that he along with others first beat Ram and then burnt him after pouring kerosene on him,” a police officer said.
However, Ram’s wife Janki Devi told police that her husband did not had an extra-marital affair and was burnt as part of a conspiracy.
