New Delhi: Four youngsters have been arrested here for raping a 20-year-old computer teacher in west Delhi, police said Wednesday.
Niranjan, 20, Dilip, 23, Rama, 20, and his brother Harish, 22, were arrested for kidnapping and raping the woman late Monday when she was returning home with her friend Satyaprakash, police said.
They intercepted the woman and her friend near Bhalla factory in Sultanpuri area, police said.
“We quesitoned Satyaprakash and gathered clues about the description of the accused. Two of the accused were arrested following a tip-off,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Delhi) Sharad Aggarwal.
He said on their questioning, Rama and Harish were also arrested.
Police said the four men late Monday went to a liquor shop where and had beer and snacks together.
“They saw the woman and her colleague going together. Taking advantage of darkness and the deserted stretch, one of the accused assaulted Satyaparkash and forced him to flee from the spot. The other three accused dragged the victim to an isolated place and two of them raped her,” he said.
