Patna: Torture, violence and illegal activities against Muslims in Gujarat do not seem to be coming to an end as the state government officials and Hindutva extremist are busy in torturing innocent Muslims in several ways in the state.
Graveyard (Old Graves)
The incident of forcing Muslim families to leave their houses in Mehsana district of Gujarat and also the incident of picking up five Muslim youths of Vadodra and torturing them in illegal custody some days back are still alive in people’s minds.
The latest shameful incident under Gujarat government is construction of road in the middle of a graveyard by Nagarpalika in Dahod city of the state demolishing graves that have bones of dead bodies.
The graveyard which is situated on Godhra road in Dahod city is under the possession of central Waqf board. Some people of other community living near graveyard have been using it as personal property by tiding their cattle and throwing cowdung in it which has been hurting the sentiments of Muslims of the locality.

Now running bulldozer on graves by Nagarpalika for construction of road has angered the Muslims because this action is not only violating the human rights but also totally against constitution of the country that provides full protection to all religious places.
City Muslims have written and informed about the incident to Minister of Minority Affairs, Mr. Salman Khursheed, National Human Right Commission, Nation Commission for Minorities, state Human Rights Commission, central Waqf board and state Waqf Board and appealed them to intervene to stop this provoking and sensitive action by NagarPalika.
