Social Democratic Party of India forms its unit in Goa

New Delhi: The fast-expanding Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), a national-level political party with its headquarters in New Delhi, has now formed its unit in Goa with the election of the state-level committee on October 8.

Addressing the election meeting, Dr. Mehboob Awad Shariff, presiding officer and SDPI’s national working committee member, said the purpose of formation this political party is to have positive politics in our country, to fight for human rights, to have empowerment for socially and educationally backward classes. “Today people think that politics is the job of dirty people, we have to change the negative mindset of the masses and bring positive change in the society and our country, we definitely require selflessly and dedicatedly workers to achieve badly needed goal of today that is National Integration,” said Shariff.

SDPI has already started functioning in 16 states. Presently SDPI has formed state ad-hoc committee in Goa which will mainly focus on enrollment of new cadres and formation of various branches and ward-wise committees and form a state committee of a very strong base in a very short span of time.

The Goa State ad-hoc committee consists of following office bearers:

1. President- Mr. Zia Rikarty

2. Vice President – Mr. Shaikh Iftikhar

3. Gen Secretary – Mr. Abdul Matin Carol

4. Secretary – Mr. Amin Mulla

5. Treasurer – Mr. Sayed Akbar
