Noida: Three members of a family, including a 16-year-old girl, were killed in Noida in Uttar Pradesh during the wee hours of Friday, police said.
According to police, 45-year-old Birju and his 42-year-old wife Indira were found killed on a road in Sector-99 in Noida while their daughter Pinki was seen lying in a pool of blood nearby by some locals around 5 a.m. Friday.
“Pinki was rushed to district hospital but she died on the way,” Noida Senior Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Singh said. All the three were residents of Sector 99.
“A steel rod and hammer were found lying beside their bodies, indicating that these were used in the crime,” he said.
Singh said all the three had serious head injuries.
Birju and Indira were artisans involved in crafting iron equipments from raw iron.
