Kapoor, who was arrested March 24 this year in connection with the sensational murders, had tried to escape Oct 19 by throwing chili powder on the policemen during his visit to Safdarjung Hospital for a check-up.

Additional Sessions Judge S.K. Sarvaria said considering the recent incident, policemen were directed to handcuff the accused while bringing him from the jail to the courts.

Meanwhile, police filed a supplementary chargesheet under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crimes Act (MCOCA) against Kapoor, claiming he was involved in the organised crime of car-jacking.

The court fixed the matter for hearing arguments on Nov 7.

Soumya was shot dead on the night of Sep 30 last year when she was returning home in her car from office in the wee hours while Ghosh was killed on March 18 while returning from a call centre.
