The bodies were being brought to Hyderabad in an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter. While the chief minister’s body will be brought to his camp office in Begumpet here, the bodies of his special secretary P. Subrahmanyam, chief security office A.S.C. Wesley, Group Captain S.K. Bhatia and Captain M.S. Raddy will be taken to their respective home towns.

Since the bodies were charred beyond recognition and were decomposed, the military personnel had a tough time in air-lifting them from the crash site in dense Nallamalla forests to Kurnool town.

A team of forensic experts conducted the autopsy on the remains of the four and the coffins were later placed in an IAF helicopter for taking them to Hyderabad.

YSR’s body will be kept at the Lal Bahadur Stadium from 10 a.m. Friday for people to pay homage. It will be then taken to his native Pulivendula town in Kadapa district for the funeral.
