About 170 students and 72 faculty members from the People’s Initiative Network schools took part in the ‘integration prayer’ held at the premises of one of their schools in Moosanagar slum in Chaderghat. The experience was unique for the students who enjoyed their time together.

Earlier, wrist bands bearing the message “I am an Indian” were exchanged between the children. When the azaan was heard, the students broke their day-long fast with fruits and water. After a short prayer, delicious chicken biriyani, vegetable fried rice and curries were dished out which the children lapped up well.

The party was organized by PIN to promote communal harmony and to sow the seeds of unity in the young minds.
