Rome : French striker David Trezeguet has said he will leave Juventus at the end of the season, Italian media reported Thursday.
Trezeguet, who turns 32 Oct 15, arrived at Juve in the summer of 2000, few weeks after scoring a golden goal that allowed France to beat Italy in the final of the European Championship.
“I made my history in this club,” he said. “Sooner or later there’s an end to everything. Nothing has changed in the relationship with the club and I have never asked to leave.”
Trezeguet said he did not know whether he would move to France (his birthplace) or Argentina (where his parents comes from).
“It’s not the time to discuss (this),” he said. “Because it’s only the second round (of Serie A games). I’d like to end my story with Juventus winning something.”
Trezeguet has scored 161 goals and won two national titles with Juve after the two he won in France with Monaco.
