Malappuram: The results of the public exam conducted by the Kerala Samsthana Matha Vidyabhyasa Board in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have been published. The exams were conducted for the fifth, seventh and tenth classes.
Mirsab Abdul Rasheed of Thenjiyathul Aulad Madrasa in Malappuram bagged the first rank and Siraj Abdul Latheef of the same madrasa won second rank in the tenth standard. Murshida Sulaiman of Hidayathussibiyan Madrasa, Malappuram, won the third rank.
Muhsina Jasni of Hidayathussibiyan Madrasa, Malappuram, won the first rank in seventh standard exams.
Rishana Jibin of Tha’leemudheen Madrasa in Malappuram won the second and Masroofa Adam of Tha’leemul Islam Madrasa in South Canara district in Karnataka won the third rank.
Ajna Abdul Gafoor of Al Madrasathu Rahmaniya in Malappuram won the first rank in fifth standard. Jubairiyathu Saliha Abdul Gaffar of Hidayathu Ssibiyan Madrasa in Malappuram won the second and Maneesha Mahboob of the same madrasa won the third rank.
Muhammed Asghar Moulvi, the chairman of the Board, presided over the function of publication of results. NK Muhammed Moulvi, chairman of the exam board, announced the results. A Najeeb Moulvi, the board secretary, and Samad Moulvi, vice-chairman of the exam board, were present at the function.
The Kerala Samsthana Matha Vidyabhyasa Board which conducted the exams is the education board of the Samsthana Kerala Jam’iyyathul Ulema, a sunni faction in the state. They insist on not using the loud speaker when offering namaz or performing juma sermon. The Board runs madrasas where the Qur’an and Islamic subjects are taught. Their certificates are not yet recognised in government schools.
