Agra : The body of the chief of Bhopal Development Authority M.G. Rusia was found by villagers on the railway tracks near Agra. Railway police Saturday said they suspect he was murdered.
Rusia was returning from Delhi by Bhopal Express alongwith a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Jitendra Daga. The CEO’s body was found on the railway track Friday morning near Saiyan, 20 km from Agra.
Government Railway Police of Gwalior and Agra had been searching for Rusia following a police hunt in Bhopal after the Bhopal Express reached the Madhya Pradesh capital Friday morning but he was did not alight, although his luggage was there.
Saiyan villagers found a mobile in his pocket which revealed Rusia’s identity.
Senior officials of the railways and district administration reached the site. Late Friday evening family members of the deceased also reached Agra.
“A definite conclusion can be reached only after the post-mortem report,” said a GRP source. Unconfirmed reports said the body bore scratch marks.
