Bhubaneswar : Six pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh on their way back from Orissa’s temple town of Puri were killed when their bus was hit by a speeding truck, police said Thursday.
Three more people were critically injured in the incident that took place late Wednesday in Bhadrak district.
“The pilgrims were returning from Puri and the bus had stopped on the roadside. A speeding truck came from behind and hit the bus, killing six of them on the spot,” said a police official.
All the pilgrims are from Balrampur in Uttar Pradesh.
