eGurucool founder aims at teaching English to 30 lakh students

New Delhi, Sep 22 (IANS) Liqvid, an English language skill provider and the new entrepreneurial venture of eGurucool founder Vivek Agarwal, has drawn up plans to equip 30 lakh Indian students with English speaking skills every year by 2012.

“English is an essential communication tool now more than ever before. It equips young school and college pass-outs with skills that can ensure professional and social success,” said Vivek Agarwal, founder and chief executive of Liqvid.

Liqvid’s flagship programme titled “English Edge” has been developed in association with broadcaster BBC, said a statement from the company.

“We hope to leverage our vast expertise and technology edge to scale up operations manifold and train 30 lakh learners in 2012 alone,” Agarwal added.

Liqvid’s key customers include the British Council, Haryana Agricultural University and air crew training provider Frankfinn, the statement added.
