HRD Minister launches education series of Aligarh Movement magazine

New Delhi: Union HRD Minister Kapil Sibal today released the special issue of The Aligarh Movement magazine and inaugurated its ‘Educational Movement 01” series at his residence. On the occasion, the minister said that young generation of India should come forward for social work and nation building. Jasim Mohammad, Editor of the magazine, appreciated reforms launched by the minister in the education sector.

The minister said that the government is initiating large scale reforms in the education sector and a time will come when India will have one of the best educational systems in the world. Appreciating the magazine and its contents he pointed out that such publications may generate awareness among masses about meaningful education.

Jasim Mohammad hoped that during tenure of the minister, the Minority Character of Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia will be restored. Jasim Mohammad said that from next issue, articles, information and debates about educational institutions will be published each month under ‘Educational Movement’ series which will widely cover schools, colleges and Universities whether private, deemed or public
