In response to Agriculture Minister Mathura Mahto’s statement, state Congress general secretary Shailesh Sinha told IANS: “Congress leaders are being targeted by Maoists and the government has adopted a soft stand on Maoists.

“The Soren government has no right to stay in power as it cannot protect its people,” he said.

Mahto made the statement after Maoists massacred 76 paramilitary personnel in Dantewara district of Chhattisgarh Tuesday.
