Bhopal : A man was shot dead following an altercation over water in Madhya Pradesh, which is facing a severe water crisis, police said Wednesday.
The incident took place Tuesday in Ratlam district’s Ramsingh Darbar area when Ramchandra, 33, stopped Ram Singh from drawing water from a borewell.
According to police, Ram Singh whipped out a pistol and killed Ramchandra in anger.
This is the second such case in Madhya Pradesh in a fortnight.
An 18-year-old girl was stabbed to death March 31 in Indore, 200 km away, when she did not allow neighbours to draw water from a tap in her home.
