Congress spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi said: “His resignation offer has not been accepted. There is no need to comment on it.”

The home minister had written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi accepting blame for Tuesday’s attack that led to the killing of 75 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and a Chhattisgarh policeman in a forested stretch in Chattisgarh.
