The land has several slums, which are allegedly being demolished by the Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration after the acquisition.

A local resident has accused the government of irregularity and said the land was acquired to add to the beauty of the mansion.

Among those transferred are Chief Executive Officer Mukul Singhal, Deputy Chief Executive Official Shailendra Chaudhary, ADM (Land Acquisition) Manmohan Chaudhary, Dadri Tehsildar and his deputy.

Deepak Aggarwal, district magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar, told IANS: “The road connecting to Badalpur with Maripat railway station is being widened. Therefore, the land of about 15 ‘khasras’ is being acquired. However, a man who has a house on this acquired land, is crying foul play. But, no irregularity has been found in the acquision process.”
