New Delhi : State-run Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) Monday reported a 35 percent increase in net profit for the first quarter of this fiscal at Rs.88,688 lakh as against Rs.65,584 lakh in the like period of 2009-2010.
The total income increased to Rs.7,16,350 lakh as compared to Rs.6,11,907 lakh in the corresponding period, according to the statement released by the company.
Shares of the company closed at Rs.447.20 up 2.5 percent on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
