Srinagar: For the first time, the cross-LoC bus service has come under attack from the protestors in north Kashmir. A resident of Pakistan Administered Kashmir (PaK) has been wounded as the protestors pelted stones on the bus at Pattan.
Angry mob crashed window panes of the ‘Caravan-e-Aman’ bus that carried passengers from Srinagar, travelling across the Line of Control (LoC) to Aman Setu in Baramulla.
The ‘Carvan-e-Aman’ was moving from Srinagar to Muzaffarabad and when it reached near Palhalan village on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad national highway, protestors pelted stones at the bus smashing several of its window panes. Police says that a resident of Pakistan Administered Kashmir (PaK) was also injured in the stone pelting.
“Some of protesters pelted stones at the Carvan-e-Aman bus at Palhalan village on Srinagar-Muzaffarabad highway, but they were immediately chased away,” a police officer said.
Mansoor Ahmad Untoo (SSP Baramulla) told Agence India Press that one person resident of Pakistan-Administered Kashmir (PaK) was injured during the incident. He said all the passengers have been shifted to safety.
However, police and paramilitary forces resorted to cane charge to disperse the protestors. The police then transferred the passengers of the bus into police vehicles and shifted them to a safe location.
