The 18th International Quran Exhibition opened in Tehran late Saturday (August 7) and is currently underway at Imam Khomeini Praying Ground (Mosalla).

The 18th International Quran Exhibit opened with the motto of ‘Quran, Book of Life’.

Performing 16 street theaters, holding 160 poetry nights, showcasing 200 superb tableaux and organizing educational workshops are on the event’s agenda.

The event has nine new sections for the first time, compared to the earlier events.

Some 25 countries are attending the event.

Over 343 Iranian and 15 foreign publishers are participating in the event.

The exhibit will be continued until September 3.

The exhibit is the main cultural event in the capital during the fasting month of Ramadan, which is considered the ‘Spring of Quran’.

Quran is the holy book of divine guidance and direction for mankind.

Muslims also consider the original Arabic verbal text to be the final revelation of God.

It was revealed gradually to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) during his prophethood, spanning some 23 years.

Muslims regard the holy book as the main miracle of the Great Prophet Mohammad, as the culmination of a series of divine messages.
