“The sittings of the Rajya Sabha are likely to be extended by two days and of Lok Sabha by a day,” Bansal told IANS.

He said that Rajya Sabha is likely to have sittings Aug 30 and 31 and Lok Sabha on Aug 28.

The minister said that need to extend the session had arisen as the parliament had lost eight days due to disruptions.

The monsoon session, which began July 26, was scheduled to end Aug 27.
