The woman, identified as Kavita, 27, was arrested Sunday.

Acting on a complaint received Thursday by immigration authorities at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi police apprehended two young Nepali girls trying to travel on forged passports.

“They paid Rs.50,000 each to Kavita to secure a job in Kuwait,” said a senior police official.

Both the victims, who are semi literate and come from a lower-middle class family, are in the age group of 21-27 years.

Investigations led to the arrest of Kavita, who frequently changed her address to evade arrest.

Police recovered several incriminating documents including forged nationality-cum- character authentication certificates and a stamp of Nepal’s home ministry from her.

During interrogation, Kavita revealed that she, along with her two associates (who are on the run), lured young Nepali girls with the promise of jobs and sent them on forged passports to the placement agency in Kuwait.
