Chennai : Abhishek Nair made 113 (2 x 6, 12 x 4) as Mumbai were all out for 284 in their 90 overs against Punjab on the first day of the All-India Buchi Babu Memorial cricket tournament final here Sunday.
Nair rescued his team from a precarious position after the loss of the openers. Along with Kaustab Pawar (31), Nair added 95 runs for the second wicket and stayed on to ensure his team put up a fighting total.
Leg-spinner Rahul Sharma was the main wicket-taker for Punjab with 4/85.
