Bangalore: With the purpose to bring Urdu writers, authors and intellectuals on one platform to discuss the ways for the promotion of the language, a 2-day international Urdu conference will be held in Bangalore starting from 29th December.
Eminent personalities related to Urdu language from across the country as well as from abroad, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Canada and America, will attend the conference.
“The participants will outline steps to use modern technology for the development of the language” said Ubaid Sharif, organizer conference.
Highlighting the fact that today, Urdu is read and understood across the world, Sharif said that despite several barriers and propaganda by some people that Urdu is language of only Muslims, the language is growing with pace in India.
Urdu is the language of Indians and not that of any particular community or religion, and thereby, every Indian is responsible to protect the language. This will be another important message that the conference will try to put across.
