Abu Dhabi: AirBlue, Pakistan’s largest privately-operated airline, has launched its new service from Abu Dhabi to Peshawar, an official said.
The launch of the link will bring the carrier’s number of weekly flights from Abu Dhabi to 18, the Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) said in a statement.
AirBlue will operate its fleet of new generation A319, A320 and A321 aircraft to service the new route with a daily flight.
“Air Blue’s new Abu Dhabi-Peshawar route will expand the connection towards major population centres on the subcontinent,” Ahmed Al Haddabi, ADAC’s senior vice president of airport operations, said in the statement.
“This new route to Peshawar will help satisfy the growing demand. There are around 900,000 Pakistani nationals living in the UAE, of which a large number live in easy reach of the airport in Abu Dhabi. So we are sure of the success of this new route,” Raheel Ahmed, general manager of marketing at Air Blue, said.
