Bhubaneswar : The cold wave conditions eased in Orissa Tuesday and parts of the state recorded a minimum temperature of about 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, official said.
The minimum temperature shot up by two to three degrees Celsius in several places, although cold wave conditions continued to prevail over some interior regions, an official of the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre told IANS.
The minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celsius was recorded at Angul and Koraput – the lowest of the day in the state, an official of the Meteorological Centre at Bhubaneswar told IANS.
Other places which recorded a minimum temperature of 10 to 12 degrees Celsius included Baripada (10.4 degrees Celsius) Keonjhar (11.4 degrees Celsius), Sundergarh (11.9 degrees Celsius) and Bhabanipatna (10.5 degrees Celsius), he said.
The minimum temperature in state capital Bhubaneswar, its adjoining Cuttack city, coastal town of Puri and Paradip port went up to 15.0, 14.5, 18.4 and 15.3 degrees Celsius respectively against Monday’s 14.6, 13.6, 17.2 and 14.2 degrees Celsius respectively in these places.
The minimum temperature is likely to rise across the state during next three-four days, he said, adding that cold wave condition will, however, prevail in some interior areas.
