Bergamo (Italy) : India’s Prakash Amritraj and his American partner Brendan Evans advanced but compatriot Harsh Mankad and Jamaican Dustin Brown faltered in the doubles first round of the 4,25,000 euros Challenger tennis.
Prakash and Evans battled past Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Kukushkin and Italian Alessandro Motti 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 here Tuesday. The Indo-American pair play third seeds Daniele Bracciali and Israel’s Jonathan Erlich in the quarterfinals.
Mankad and Brown went down fighting to second seeds Jonathan and Jamie Murray of Britain 1-6, 7-6(4) 7-10.
