New Delhi : Congress leader Sajjan Kumar Tuesday approached the Delhi High Court, challenging a trial court order rejecting his anticipatory bail plea in connection with cases related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
The former union minister, accused in two cases, filed his petition in the high court through his counsel Anil Kumar Sharma.
“We have filed for anticipatory bail and it will be mentioned before the court later in the afternoon,” Sharma told IANS.
A city court had Monday rejected Sajjan Kumar’s anticipatory bail plea, saying “charges against him were serious”.
